Does anyone remember terminals with a status line? They get brief mention here — <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_terminal" rel="nofollow">https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_terminal</a>. On a well-populated Unix machine, it could show a list of logins and logouts, updated every minute.
