Today I came across X-Team (https://x-team.com) for the first time and was surprised I'd never heard of them. I've been a freelancer for 2 years now and still struggle with building a sales pipeline and the "feast or famine problem".<p>My first impression is that they look similar to TopTal, which makes me slightly apprehensive since TopTal was fairly uniformly slammed on this Ask HN thread from ~6 months ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10107448<p>So has anybody used X-Team? Or am I just chasing an illusion with these "freelancer platforms" because by definition they are a huge middleman that will suck the profitibility out of all the gigs on their platforms?
