Ask HN: Why does a Raspberry Pi SD card corrupt with power loss?

1 pointsby johncoleover 8 years ago
SD Card corruption is something I've struggled with with the Raspberry Pi. I know that a "sudo halt" is the proper way to shut it down; not necessarily an option with an unstable power supply though. Is there a reasonable way to bullet-proof the Pi for, say, battery-power operations or other situations where power supply may be unreliable?

It might be better to ask this question at http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/ but you'll probably want to provide more details.
