I haven't really seen this discussed since it's release and I would like to get others inputs on using it now that they have "improved" privacy [1].
1. Now they hide the data such as passcard names + URLs until you are logged in (if this is truly the case I am not completely sure as any reviews of the new version haven't really surfaced so we only have Siber's word and visually seeing it like so within the software.
2. I am now able to easily switch accounts between my work and personal roboform's much more quickly - right now I can click the roboform icon in the browser choose logout - click it again and then change account to quickly change to another roboform account.
Really my question is do you think this changes the game for Roboform in a security sense? If they truly can't see how your passcards are named or where they go to then this could be a big game changer for a lot of users to start using roboform? I've always loved the interface compared to other similar (open source) softwares that just don't seem to integrate UI wise well.
[1] https://www.roboform.com/roboform-8-features
I understand that there are always security consequences with sharing your data (even encrypted) with a third party because down the road those security encryptions may be broken however I have yet to see a well done interface that doesn't require complex setting up for your average user - our company is much smaller and thus can only devote so much of my time to doing any computer related stuff for the business and thus we can't spend money on direct dedicated techs for security and such.
TL;DR
"Do you think the improved privacy features in Roboform v8 are a game changer for technical users who want/need to use a cloud based passwords manager?"
(side note) I submitted this a minute or so ago and it didn't put it under "ask" category so I'm a bit unsure how to get it in there since I can't find a submission option under that category.
