Hi everyone, I’m posting this on behalf of Josh who has created EduBlocks – a drag and drop interface for Python which helps young coders make the transition from Scratch to Python. You can check it out here: http://edublocks.org/
Despite being only 13 years old, Josh has created this project and released it Open Source with the intention of helping other people his age get into coding. He is also a keen member of the Raspberry Pi community and leads workshops to engage youngsters in computing.
For this work, Josh is a finalist in the BT Young Pioneer Award. If you’d like to support him in his mission to help get young people into coding, then you can vote for him here: https://www.tech4goodawards.com/finalist/edublocks/
Alternatively, you can just tweet with the hashtag: #T4GEduBlocks and this will also count as a vote.
He is a remarkable young man who I think will go far – winning this award would certainly give him a boost in a promising direction.
Thanks for reading through and please consider voting for him :)
