Ask HN: Anyone using Sphinx for non-documentation websites?

2 pointsby vedranmalmost 8 years ago
In the recent years static site generators have skyrocketed in popularity [1], presumably with GitHub's push of Markdown.
I have worked more with reStructuredText for a while and I'm interested in the usage of Sphinx specifically; it's in 28th place in terms of stars, but that tells me little about types of its usage in the wild. Sphinx Documentation lists a number of "Homepages and other non-documentation sites" [2] (there's also my personal use for lab website including teaching materials [3] not yet listed), and there is a thesis extension [4, 5].
Anyone using Sphinx for non-documentation websites? Homepages, blogs, course teaching, lab notebooks?
[1] https://www.staticgen.com/
[2] http://www.sphinx-doc.org/en/stable/examples.html
[3] https://lab.miletic.net/
[4] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4609769
[5] https://jterrace.github.io/sphinxtr/
