Ask HN: Why getting paid on the Internet is still so difficult?

5 pointsby erbearalmost 8 years ago
I wanted to start selling on the Internet by myself. On my website, not on eBay, Amazon or Upwork. I know only HTML and a little bit of JavaScript. I can use some script from StackOverflow to do the job for me. I can install Google Analytics script and setup a simple static website with a domain.<p>Is there any <i>easy</i> and <i>fast</i> way for me to get paid? By easy I mean doable with my skills (no backend coding etc). By fast I mean I can start charging in less than 2 hours.

Just create a PayPal button and put it on your site. One button per product. You can use cart mode an PayPal will handle giving the user a shopping cart so they can buy multiple products.

What&#x27;s wrong with shopify?<p>Also I&#x27;m sure you can do it with stripe very easily on your &quot;own&quot; site.
