Ask HN: Good mobile games to play with chemobrain?

3 pointsby gtbcbover 7 years ago
My Mom was diagnosed with cancer back in January, and she is currently undergoing chemotherapy. One side-effect of chemotherapy is "chemobrain" whereby there is some cognitive impairment during and after treatment. I think games could help with this.
I'm looking for games with the following characteristics...
* brain engaging
* easy to play (she's not tech savvy at all but does have an iPad and iPhone and can sort of browse the web; doesn't know how to download apps, but I can make that happen)
* ideally single and two-player (so she can play solo and with me) and potentially multiplayer (so she could play with others)
* asynchronous (so I can easily play with her at the convenience of both of us) games for mobile (iOS specifically)
I've tweeted the American Cancer Society a couple of times but haven't received a response. Below are some of the resources I've run across and their downsides.
Lumosity / Elevate - single player only.
Words with Friends - fair
https://www.verywell.com/brain-game-apps-for-chemobrain-513911
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
