I dont think any company needs to fire its employees, not one and not bulk. I think if there is a scenario where some down sizing becomes necessary i am sure it will not happen overnight and it will happen in a phased manner over few months. I think if the employer just calls the employee a month ahead and says "You may be fired." that should set off the chain of event which can take care of both the employee's need and employer's need in a smooth manner. That way it wont have to make a big noise and create any agitation. The employees have been taking great care of themselves like forever in the past and will do so in the future. This little buffer time will just make the scenario from medium complexity to small complexity.<p>What's your opinion?
