We want to make it as easy as possible for citizens to contact their reps. You can contact your congresspeople at their home/DC office by fax/snailmail/email/phone. It's built with ReactNative and Firebase. We send faxes using the Twilio API, and for snail mail we just print it out and send it in the mail (we figure if stamp costs become a problem, we'll wire up with a bulk mailing service).
In our own experience, it's gratifying to use. The other day, one of my coworkers actually got a personalized letter in the mail from Rep. Roger Williams in response to a fax he sent through the app. Very cool to see. Our hypothesis is that concerned citizens will directly contact their reps if it is sufficiently easy. So we've built an MVP- but we are engineers, not marketers. How do we figure out whether or not this is something people want?
App links:
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.governedap...
iOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/governed/id1270482919
