I don’t really care about ads, I care about the tracking that comes with ads. This only makes that much worse because it only works while logged in.<p>I’ll accept reasonable ads hosted by the site I’m visiting but ad networks that want to follow me around the web get blocked.

Google Contributor as described in that article no longer exists. It now only works on &quot;participating sites&quot;, rather than all sites using AdSense.<p>I&#x27;d guess it has something to do with website operators putting more ads on their websites to earn more from Contributor.

Does this stop the invasive tracking? If not then no thanks (actually even then no thanks).

TL;DR Version; &quot;Give google money to buy adspace on the website you just visited so nobody else gets to show an ad&quot;<p>I would rather prefer if I could allocate some part of a monthly subscription directly to a specific website and distribute the rest as it works now. Also, probably not from Google.
