I received a letter from the Office of the Treasurer & Tax Collector of San Francisco saying my business is required to register with the city (my business is based and operates in another city on the Peninsula).<p>I found this quite absurd, so I called the investigator to understand the situation. He points me to the website (http://sftreasurer.org/registration), one criteria which states any business that "Solicit business within San Francisco for all or part of any seven days during one fiscal year" is required to register with the city.<p>Being based in the Bay Area, I have definitely had meetings in San Francisco. I just find it absurd that I need to register with the city and pay to "solicit" business whether having meetings, doing sales, or reaching out to investors.<p>Am I crazy for finding this absurd?
