Ask HN: Are new desktop applications being built without Electron?

3 pointsby lnrdgmzalmost 7 years ago
Most new desktop applications I notice seem to be built on Electron, much to the chagrin of many commentators, who complain about large download sizes and excessive resource usage. But developers must still be creating new desktop applications using traditional desktop technology, right? Or are these technologies mostly used in legacy projects?
