Situation: I'm unemployed, need money and have little money. My network in real life isn't too good, with only a handful of friends and colleagues who are not available to provide any good leads for work right now. But I also prefer avoid going to local programming events just to do the aggressive salesman approach which is a shallow and desperate kind of "networking".
For now I want to leverage what I have with me, right now, and not show my weaknesses. I am a developer experienced with a few different fields, able to build SaaS web solutions for companies, improving user experiences with them, as well as improving performance bottlenecks in games (I have paid hourly experience with indie game studios).
I want to apply these skills and not have them go to waste, to earn some income as soon as possible. I've posted my information in the Seeking Work and Freelancer threads here, and I prefer to avoid the bid-auction style websites such as Upwork.
