Ask HN: How do you parse clauses from a legal document

2 pointsby echan00almost 7 years ago
Looking for suggestions to parse a variety of legal documents into its separate clauses?<p>My impression is a solution should exist because it is possible with images (e.g bounding box detection). But NLP seems to work a bit differently.

The snarky answer is that parsing legal documents is the purpose of the courts, which will bless one ambiguous parse over others. NLP parsing is complicated by the fact that natural language parsing is context sensitive.
