Ask HN: What are you using for collaborative calls?

1 pointsby togumeover 6 years ago
What are you using for collaborative calls - audio, video, screen sharing - these days? Anything you're excited about?
I've been paying for Zoom for a while, Google Meet eats up all cores (even when not sharing), Appear.in is OK, let's not talk about Hangouts/GoToMeeting/Skype. Also, I still miss Screenhero :'(.
I was excited about Google Meet because it's quite simplified, allows for calling in for certain situations and for non-technical users. However... it's only available in Google Suite and is borderline unusable if you're sharing your screen while using a beefy app (i.e. Sketch).
Wishlist would be:
* Browser and native clients
* Group calling
* Efficient screen-sharing
* Ability to dial-in or call out
* Graceful support for low-end connections
