Hi, I am transitioning to an SRE role and as this will be my first time I am quite stressed. I'm coming from a DevOps (CI/CD) role so the mentality is not that far away but still there are significant differences. Most stressful to me is the on-calls duty. When you get paged it means that something is on fire and moreover every second it stays that way there is money lost. So this is not simple troubleshooting but something quite a bit scaled up.<p>How do you handle on-calls and how do you troubleshoot in that role? How do you deal with stress? Are "blameless" post-mortems really blameless or is this an euphemism? What would you advise a newcomer in the field?<p>Thanks in advance!!!
