Hi HN,
recently I underwent infectious mononucleosis - a full-body disease that mainly takes a toll on the liver. Since I went on a liver diet for a while I had to learn about which foods I should and shouldn't eat. This made me realize that I have a poor understanding of how nutrition works. I'd like to learn how the body processes food, which vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients are essential for what purpose, as well as coarsely what foods contain what. I expect this to be information that, once learned, will prove useful for the rest of my life. However I'm not interested in any specific diets. Is there any book HN would recommend on this topic?
