Ask HN: What's good tool for visual project management?

2 pointsby kartickvalmost 6 years ago
Can anyone recommend a tool for visual project management? We have an overall goal A. To reach A, we need to achieve B, C, and D. To achieve B, we need B1, B2 and B3. I want all this visualised in a tree structure.

I like using storymaps to outline/manage projects. https://storiesonboard.com is a good collaborative tool for that or you can just use sticky notes on the wall if you are co-located. Here’s a blog post that explains the concept (he also wrote a book) - https://www.jpattonassociates.com/the-new-backlog. You might also want to check out Gantt charts (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gantt_chart) if you have a lot of dependencies.
