Facebook et. al. implement a ton of censorship. You can be banned in seconds for posting content they deem offensive, even if it's not threatening / obscene. Why would we expect any other social network to not also have censorship? Why is Chinese censorship going to be any worse for Americans than their own?

in communist china, television watches you -- hmmmm this is well outside of Orwell territory by now because it would've been unheard of for the governments of his super-states to spy on each others' citizens!
