The article references this line from the glob documentation: &quot;The glob module finds all the pathnames matching a specified pattern according to the rules used by the Unix shell, although results are returned in arbitrary order.&quot;<p>That wasn&#x27;t added until Nov 4, 2018 (Edit: see below it was actually Nov 16, 2015 - still more than 6 years ago) so I&#x27;d be hesitant to put blame the scripts author. After all he wrote it ~6 years ago.
