Ask HN: How hard it was to stop programming after your startup got traction?

1 pointsby vpEfljFLover 5 years ago
Hi,
When you start epmloying software engineers to help your product advance, your time will be dedicated to managing people and processess. Deciding on vision and marketing ideas.
How hard it was as a founder to transform from software engineer to become more a business person? Do you miss programing? How do you feel about loosing competence in frameforks and new approaches with lack of first hand experience?
As I'm co-founder, I live with perception of myself as a software engineer first and we're developing our product without any external help for now. I kind of scared to know that sometime you have to abandon development completely because of more important areas which need your attention.
