I have recently begun to feel that my day job does not give me the satisfaction I once used to get. More and more stuff is moving to AWS. More and more stuff gets automated. Instead of using my computer science skills that I once used to love, I now spend my time figuring out and groking the idiosyncratic design decisions made in AWS, Kubernetes, etc. They are not pretty. They are not elegant. I would like to work on some hobby projects again where I can explore the joy of computing again. But I have a full time day job and a family. I can spend maybe 1 hour or 2 hour max per day. So looking around for ideas.
