My feeling is a little bit cynical: either we can involve China, India and Africa, or no way we can save the planet [1]. At the same time, though, I cannot stay still.<p>I've seen plenty of people helping in Australia by housing stranded animals, getting involved as local firefighters, donating.<p>I've no money to donate, nor I live anywhere close to any area in a true environmental emergency.<p>I've skills though: dev, data science, founder (that implies fundraising, marketing, get-things-done attitude). But no effective plan of how to deploy them.<p>Some (improbable) ideas that popped in my mind:
- contributing to an OSS project (but which one...?)
- kicking off a no-fee app for thematic effort-less donations
