I've been solving journalists problems for the past two years and, recently, I decided to make those problems my own.
Is joining an existing newspaper as a journalist intern a good idea? Or I should just start my own online local newspaper?
During the internship I won't have as much time to dedicate to my startup, but I will be gaining invaluable insights and hopefully build tools for "myself" along the way.
Building my own is more feasible but I won't get a "real-world" experience.
Keep in mind I'm a solo-founder and my company is already profitable.
PS: My goal is to build a Basecamp for Journalists, whatever it may be.
My gut feeling tells me it should be an app that has the following apps functionalities: Trello (story lifecycle management) + Hemingway App (Style, readability, proofreading)+ Feedly (keeping on top of things) + CRM (they need to manage a lot of contacts/relationships) + CMS (publishing the actual content)
