Ask HN: Is there a good Open Source WP plugin for creating paid membership sites

Anyone know of a good Open Source Wordpress plugin for creating paid membership websites. The popular plugins like Wishlist and Amember seem to be paid software. I'm wondering if there is an active free software alternative.
