Wash Your Hands, correctly – AI to teach and control

2 pointsby FHermischabout 5 years ago
Hi,
out of curiosity we re-trained our AI from retail to health-care - teach and control to ‚Wash Your Hands, correctly!‘:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgVV72gKa4Y
We are a two person team in the process of incorporating and launching our company 'Riitail'. We developed a solution to capture anonymous human-interactions in retail stores (brick&mortar) and push these interactions as events to Google Analytics.
Last week we saw one of these advisory posters on how to wash hands correctly and went into a personal hackathon to transform our existing tech in a 'teach and control' solution for washing hands. I think this might be a great product and it should be installed above every sink (esp. in public buildings and hospitals) to fight the Covid threat.
We are using Google-Coral Edge-TPUs, so devices can be small and quite cheap. We already ordered some 5" displays and other cases to put everything together in one unit. At the moment, the AI is quite simple - last layer retraining of a basic TF-Lite identification model.
Any feedback or contacts to persons interested are highly appreciated.
Best regards Christiane & Florian
christiane.kuech (at) riitail.com
florian.hermisch (at) riitail.com
