Save Your Local Restaurants and Small Businesses – Show Them the SBA Advance

1 pointsby ricberwabout 5 years ago
If you love your local restaurants and small businesses (or are an owner), if you could pass this on to them (and potentially even translate it for them if English isn't the best language), it would be greatly appreciated!
http://covidadvance.com (set up a simple redirect so people can remember it easier)
I really, really don't want to lose the amazing restaurants and other small businesses that make living in San Francisco as amazing as it is -- and after visiting a few owners today, I found that the majority of them weren't aware they could be applying for SBA loans, and more specifically, for the EIDL "advance", which is effectively a $10,000 grant (the SBA calls it an "advance", albeit it is completely forgiven) for them to use towards operating expenses, even if they don't qualify for the actual EIDL loan or don't end up taking it (part of the CARES act that was signed into law last Friday as stimulus for the COVID-19 crisis). If they were aware they could get it, they weren't able to fill out the form because the form had a ton of quirks that made it too difficult for them to handle.
After they fill out the form and submit it, they'll likely have the $10,000 deposited in their account within just a few days, based on what the SBA is stating on their site.
I hope this information and video helps a number of small businesses -- please do share if you can with those whom this may help to fill out the application!
