Figma has done a lot of good when it comes to multi-user, real-time collaboration between design, engineering, product, and marketing. We use it, regardless of OS preference you can still get the job done. But given this deliberate choice of enhancing real-time collaboration experience, I think the clear tradeoff they make is the design documentation, organization, and asynchronous communication (it's pretty difficult to track/navigate through comments).
I've seen designers throw everything into one master file and others track design tasks with text boxes next to frames. And this is all okay, it gets a bit tedious and challenging to track things when collaborating across other disciplines.
I'm curious to hear from others (designers and product/engineering), is any of this relevant to you? Does it make sense to have a "second workspace for Figma users", where you can keep Figma frames organized by exporting, collaborate on design tasks, copy, etc.?
