Ask HN: How do you manage “non-bankable” investments like private company stock?

I&#x27;m curious, how do people here manage their &quot;non-bankable&quot; investments, like equity they&#x27;ve earned or purchased in startups or other private companies?<p>How do you handle tax reporting? Have you tried borrowing against your equity, or selling it on Secondmarket?
