Ask HN: Language agnostic linter / converter for oppressive language?

1 pointsby aynawnalmost 5 years ago
Our company, much like other companies, are thinking of renaming our master branch to main, like Github suggests, and renaming master/slave, renaming blacklist/whitelist, etc.
Is there a language agnostic linter / converter for this? Unsure if Uber's NEAL or Github's super-linter supports this.
References:
* https://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-knodel-terminology-01.html
* https://www.zdnet.com/article/github-to-replace-master-with-alternative-term-to-avoid-slavery-references/
