For our masters thesis, myself and another colleague looked at the possibility of using IPFS as a distribution mechanism within RPKI (Resource Public Key Infrastructure): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_Public_Key_Infrastructure.<p>The summary of our research findings is that, in general, IPFS performs worse than HTTP at content retrieval.
