I teach NVC and find that there are a few core choices to be made before learning the how’s of it.<p>I don’t even present them as choices but as questions.<p>Do you prefer having a connected, honest relationship with others to getting what you want from them?<p>If you don’t, then you may end up using the principles of NVC to try and manipulate others.<p>Are you willing to be vulnerable? To soften your armor and be seen for your humanity?<p>Are you willing to accept the humanity of everybody else?<p>It’s a really beautiful practice, carried by the gentle power of kindness.
