What, how is this possible?
Is it a electrical problem of the TV, or is the TV emitting some sort of EM field? If the latter, that surely would be strong enough to affect all sort of electrical appliances. If its electrics, then surely other stuff like lights would be flickering or fuses would blow.
The articles links to a blog post by Openreach which doesn't go into much detail about this.
Does anyone have an idea?
EDIT: This [1] provides a far better explanation, and links to a page at BT [2] which explains what SHINE is.
I still think this is crazy, surely broadband/telephone lines would be better shielded from this type of interference...
[1]: https://hackaday.com/tag/single-isolated-impulse-noise/ [2]: https://support.zen.co.uk/kb/Knowledgebase/Broadband-Underst...

It took an internet provider 18 months to diagnose and fix electrical interference at 7am every morning?
