We have all suffered through the trials of the most challenging time of our generation. Our parents had Vietnam, our grandparents had the War, and we have the Plague. Many of us lived through some of those things as well and still look upon the fiery hell that is 2020 as the worst time to be alive. Each of our stories, our journey’s through this year have been unique but together. We struggled as families, as a nation, as a people to understand how best to navigate the physical, mental and emotional struggle that was OUR 2020. This is a plea for your story. What is the moment that you can share with me about your life this year. Maybe it is a summary of the nonstop shit that keeps shoveling over our heads. Maybe it is an anecdote about the day it all became real for you. Maybe it is about the monotony of the days blurring together. Maybe it is about the loss. The loved ones who you could not properly say goodbye to as plague protocols kept you away in their final hours. Maybe it is about birth. The new habits, the new relationships and friendships, the new children that came into your life to help you build the resilience you needed to overcome.
