Ask HN: Comparing AI Textbooks

1 pointsby agambrahmaover 4 years ago
Hello!
As someone who likes to passively follow along, and finds the "non-ML/DL" AI space pretty interesting too, I was wondering if someone here could compare the two textbooks that seem to be bubble up in a search:
[1]: Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach, 4th Edition (https://www.amazon.com/Artificial-Intelligence-A-Modern-Approach/dp/0134610997/ref=sr_1_1) [2]: AI: Foundations of Computational Agents, 2nd Edition (https://www.amazon.com/Artificial-Intelligence-Foundations-Computational-Agents/dp/110719539X/ref=sr_1_1)
Other than one of them being free to read and the other not, any other differences in focus/relevance?
(thanks)
