What if we&#x27;re looking at this the wrong way?<p>What if the real problem is simply with the idea that we should have 1930s-style central planners that manage the roads?<p>Why do we simply assume that we will continue to have surface streets with automobiles as the dominant transportation paradigm?<p>There&#x27;s The Boring Company, passenger-carrying drones such as EHang, Tesla&#x27;s FSD tech, the shift to remote work. (40% of jobs can now be done remotely. Even forklift drivers are working remotely these days...)<p>The article deals with none of these important changes, and instead attempts to focus on restraining tech companies from delivering the future too quickly. How helpful is this old style of thinking in our rapidly-changing world?
