I don't know what zero trust you are talking about, but the way I see it is, that you don't need to trust anyone, other than maths and algorithm to take decisions.<p>For example, take end-to-end encryption. If some chat app implements this truly, then I don't need to trust the people working on the app to keep my data safe, instead I can rely on the algorithm.<p>Or a more concrete example would be bitcoin, where everything happens in such a way that no once can cheat you. It's all based on maths and algorithm.
