Microsoft's New Free Analytics Tool Offers Heatmaps and Session Playback

I checked out the demo, but it currently looks very pre-alpha, I could only see one recording before the browser crashed and for other recordings the page was just blank.
It's nice that they offer such a tool for free, but I think the privacy implication is huge if websites are giving all this centralized user data to Microsoft. I imagine their goal is to run some AI/ML on top of the collected data, not sure for what final purpose though.
If anyone is interested in private, self-hosted Heatmaps/Session playback alternative, I have been also working on a similar platform for about 8 years now: https://www.usertrack.net

Looks interesting and more alternatives to Google Analytics is nice. Funny how they focus on 'Rage clicks' in addition to Dead Clicks and Excessive Scrolling as main metrics. The demo doesn't show much tracking through page depths though, they need to apply the demo on a website with more than one page.
