Looking for remote desktop software that will allow me to logon to some platform (Windows, Linux) via most personal laptops.<p>Personal Computer --&gt; Portal&#x2F;Login --&gt; Virtual Desktop<p>Basically looking for Desktop computing &quot;in the cloud&quot;.<p>I&#x27;ve heard of Amazon Spaces and Itopia (Google Cloud).<p>Any one else have any other recommendations?

TurboVNC is the best VNC. Run one of those on a cheap cloud instance, maybe alongside a Pritunl install, and you can connect up to a performant, resizeable, 3d-accelerated X desktop from any platform for dirt cheap.
