I believe the person was talking about shutting his own service down, pretending as if he was copying ScrapingBee for educational purposes.

On the other hand you've established yourself in your niche if competitors use you as base line. I'm still waiting for somebody to dedicate a marketing page for (well, against) us. I wouldn't like it but it's a typical step and sign once you grow your brand.
