"Modbus Organizations makes a token gesture that has nothing to do with racism (or today's actual race issues), but follows some fashionable feel-good trends" IFTFY
Well done! This documentation has been 'oppressing' me for quite sometime and I cried in fear when I saw how 'offensive' and 'racist' this section of this documentation was:
> In a standard Modbus network, there is one Master and up to 247 Slaves, each with a unique Slave Address from 1 to 247. The Master can also write information to the Slaves.
I now feel enlightened as to why some refuse to take a Masters [0] degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering because the documentation for almost all the material is 'offensive'. /s
Thanks once again for reminding me that I am a halpless victim. /s
[0] Oops. Another eggshell I stepped on.
...Board Chair Todd Snide commented, "The time is overdue for these words to be removed. The terms are unnecessary and insensitive to the people who experience racism in this country and around the world. We urge our member companies and all those who use the Modbus protocol to take similar action to rid their documentation and communications of these terms."
