I like the drawings -- are they from the Doudna&#x2F;Steinberg book? (Note that this is not a new book; it was published in 2017.)<p>The latest CRISPR-related research (speaking as an interested layman) is that there are troubling unintended consequences to CRISPR modifications.<p><a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.bionews.org.uk&#x2F;page_153279" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.bionews.org.uk&#x2F;page_153279</a><p>The idea of using a gene drive to produce malaria-resistant mosquitoes is new to me. I wonder if this approach has advantages over a gene-drive intended to destroy the mosquitoes outright.
