When I first read that, I thought they meant real unicorns (i.e. horses with horns), not billion-dollar startups

As someone who is in this field (work at a company that does secondary market transactions), I&#x27;m very curious as to why this explosion of growth is happening. I see two examples that aren&#x27;t directly related to the articles point of money looking for high growth opportunities in a low interest rate environment<p>1) Increasing capital in the private market has lead to a decrease in value of this benefit of being public (raising large capital rounds)<p>2) Decreasing regulatory barriers for participation in the private market<p>I&#x27;m curious as to how other HNers who may work for these companies feel?
