I am always fascinated by how some people have a great charm. I am not talking about Steve Jobs type but people from everyday walk of life.<p>I am interested in developing an executive like charming personality. I noticed that all these VPs, CEO carry themselves with certain tact. While faking it till making it can go only so far, what are ways to genuinely develop a charming personalities? Thinking from first principles point of view, are there any trainings, videos, lectures I can watch to develop the charm? Please share if you know any.
In my experience, one of the biggest things that people can do to become more "charming" (though they shouldn't be doing so strictly for that reason), is to develop more genuine empathy for others. That and listening skills. Many people say they are good listeners, but in reality most people are simply waiting for the next turn to talk. It takes practice and empathy to be a good listener.
