Ask HN: Where to start introducing young children to programming?

10 pointsby flyGuyOnTheSlyover 4 years ago
Have a friend who has two kids, an 8 year old boy and an 11 year old girl.
Both of which have started programming lego bots recently.
Just curious how I could best help them become better programmers.

Take a look at Raspberry Pi. I think Scratch2 is a really good way to learn programming and how it relates to hardware at the same time.

How to Design Programs and Realm of Racket are great.
