You're better off not reading the news.<p>Obviously I've taken up reading the news again, kinda like cigarettes, but I plan to quit again, kinda like cigarettes. But those months when I wasn't reading the news? What a contented time. Never felt like I needed to buy a gun, or run for office, or any other unhealthy thoughts related to the state of the world the media wanted me to perceive.
Being close to retirement age, one thought has haunted me the last few years: What if I'm bored out of my mind when I retire?<p>Well, it turns out that I have plenty of interesting projects and that boredom has not been an issue at all.
