With fake news ever more prevalent, will people turn back to old school newspapers as source of truth?

Since people believe there are popular TV news sources that are "fake", why would print news not be equally considered fake as well?

Newspapers were Classified Ad delivery platforms with a side of news.
Craigslist killed the newspaper industry.
I don't think fake news will kill Craigslist. I therefore don't think that newspapers will be making a comeback any time soon.

Only if the newspapers stop their bias, spin, and cheerleading for their preferred side. Otherwise... you're going to feed me lies like everybody else, but you want me to pay for it? Forget that noise...

The medium is not important. Paper will not come back.
Plenty of people still consider "old school" publications, often in their online version, as credible sources while totally ignoring social media noise...

Not a good forum in which to ask the question. Like asking the NYT editorial staff a while back whether online news was ever going to take off...

No. Because a lot of people consider the mainstream media to be fake news.
Newspapers and other publications might make a comeback as physical media if it turns out in hindsight to be easier to make money in print than online, but I have no idea whether that's even likely. It would be ironic, though.
