Show HN: v8-riscv — Port of JavaScript V8 engine to RISC-V

Dumb question, but I’m curious what’s the purpose of risc-v? Is it only relevant for experiments or has real applications?

I thought a big benefit of compiled languages was that they are architecturally agnostic.
