Social Networks Are the Next Big Decentralization Opportunity

I&#x27;m pessimistic about this.<p>Without network netural principle, ISP can easily take away user&#x27;s rights by putting them behind NAT, and censor their network traffic &quot;for their&#x27;s good&quot;.<p>Decentralization cannot solve this. It&#x27;s a political issue.

Really would be nice to have a decentralized network layer too. Starlink may help but something more ad hoc with no ISP would be way better.

I am very optimistic about GNUnet, which uses the decentralized Gnu Name System. It&#x27;s in its early stages but already works pretty well.
